Archie Manning promised not to miss Week 2 game

As father of two current NFL star quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, Archie Manning once mistakenly bought tickets for Peyton’s game while his original plan was to watch Eli’s. However, for this season, Archie promised that he won’t make that mistake again and will definitely be present when the New York Giants play a home game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week two.

Both of Archie’s quarterback sons have managed to bring home Super Bowl rings and Archie has always been available to watch each son’s game. Usually Peyton and Eli have equal chance to see their father in his own Archie Manning jersey at side line. However, in recent years, the Colts have developed into one of the best teams in the league and a powerful competitor for Super Bowl championship, so Archie always feels it’s much more exciting to watch Peyton playing for the Colts than watching Eli for the Giants. As a result, people have gotten the impression that Archie has bias in favor of Peyton.

However, Archie himself does not think that bias could affect the relationships between him and his sons or between Peyton and Eli. He said that his favor on Peyton could stimulate Eli to work harder so that he could be as great as his brother and earns more respects and loves from others.
